Barbadillo mixed case
Barbadillo is based in Sanlúcar, the region famous for its Manzanilla sherry. The bodega was founded in 1821 and is now run by the seventh generation of the family.
Our mixed case of six half bottles (37.5 cl) contains two of their famous dry Manzanillas, two of their delicious aged dry sherries, a medium sweet Oloroso and one of their perfumed, sweet Moscatel:
Manzanilla Solear - Spain’s best-selling Manzanilla, an elegant and pure example aged for 6 years.
Manzanilla Pasada En Rama de la Pastora - the extra ageing on a ‘pasada’ wine (8 years) adds complexity and body. ‘En Rama’ means bottling straight from the cask with no fining or filtration.
Principe Amontillado - aged 12 years, an intense and elegant dry wine, with flavours of nuts and toast, a long finish
Palo Cortado Obispo - aged 15 years, this is a dry and powerful with finesse; an intense nose of fine wood, almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg and crystallised fruits and a big finish.
Oloroso San Rafael - dark in colour with aromas and flavours of nuts, dried fruit, plums and raisins. An smooth and elegant medium Oloroso.
Laura Moscatel - sweet, smooth and perfumed with flavours of apricots, honey and dried fruits.
